About

Latina artist Cinthia Torres aka Cinns has been telling stories through her work since the beginning of her career. The self-taught photographer utilizes light and contrast as a way to convey emotions. Throughout her career, she has always focused on shooting visually striking, exuberant, and stunning images. She is always willing to do whatever it takes to fulfill the vision by manipulating every aspect of the image, from its conception to the final edit. In her photography journey, she has had the pleasure of working with diverse subjects including, fashion models, musicians, landscapes, and strangers, all while always finding beauty in the ordinary.

Her most recent work illustrates the beautiful people of San Basilio de Palenque, in Cartagena, Colombia. A village housing around 4,000 of the most joyous humans one can encounter. Palenque was founded by African slave Benkos Biohó in the 16th century, later becoming the first free town in the Americas. Preserving its African roots through its music, food, and people, Cinns was able to capture what Black joy, resilience, and freedom represent in their village. To share this journey with her followers, a limited quantity of Palenque authenticated photos by Cinns are available for purchase here.
